Is this a kit or pre-fabricated home?

Every home that we sell is engineered for your specific site. You will receive a complete set of engineered blue prints which take into account your elevation, snow load, wind speeds, land slope and other unique factors your property has. Your home is then built on-site from custom materials.

What is included in the package?

Our log home packages include everything needed to create a weather-tight shell as well as all interior framing. In a nutshell, this includes materials for exterior walls, exterior doors & windows, roof system, 2nd floor sub-floor, interior framing and all of the hardware to put it together. Some models even come with porches, garages, and deck materials.

> See our package list for a full description.

Do you offer a turn-key package?

Elk Ridge Homes, LLC works with you to create your home and provide the materials for your dream log home. We do not offer a full turn key approach, however we work closely with many local builders and will help you find a builder who will meet your needs. We will then work with you and your builder every step of the way to ensure that your home is built with the high quality and craftsmanship you expect from a Lincoln Log home.

Can I customize a Lincoln Log floor-plan?

Absolutely! Any of our 150+ floor-plans can be modified to meet your needs. We also offer fully custom homes from your drawings or descriptions. We have created entire log homes that start as a drawing on a napkin!

How do I finance my project?

There are many banks who offer financing for building a log home. We have contacts in the construction lending field and will be happy to share our references based on your location.

What is the energy efficiency of a log home?

Log homes by nature are quite energy efficient. Throughout the day your log home absorbs energy from the sun and stores this energy as heat in the log itself. As night approaches and the outside temperature cools, your log home still has heat stored from during the day which is released at night. This results in natural energy storage for your home. When talking about energy efficiency, we often talk in terms of R-values. There has been much research done on R-values in the log home industry, most of which can be found in the following report published by the NAHB Log Homes Council.
